Crafted from HSS 4341 high-speed steel and finished with a titanium (gold) coating for enhanced sharpness, heat resistance, and cutting performance.

Q1: Can these be used on stainless steel?
A: These are ideal for non-ferrous metals and mild sheet steel. For harder stainless or thick metal, opt for cobalt-grade bits and operate at low speeds with sufficient cooling.
Q2: What speed is recommended?
A: Low RPM is best (typically 300–800 RPM on a hand drill). Always use cutting fluid and apply steady, light pressure while clearing chips regularly.
Q3: How can I avoid stripped threads or broken bits?
A: Start with a center punch and maintain a 90° angle. For thin sheets, complete the tap in one smooth pass if possible. During tapping, advance 1–2 turns, then reverse half a turn to clear chips—avoid forcing it.
Q4: Is separate chamfering needed?
A: The built-in deburring tip lightly chamfers during tapping, helping guide threads more smoothly.
Q5: Any special chuck required?
A: The 1/4" hex fits directly into quick-change chucks. For standard 3-jaw chucks, tighten firmly on the hex shank and eliminate any play to prevent slippage.
